Privacy Policy

Effective October 12, 2026

1. What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Tuxidea Inc. ("Tuxidea," "we," "us") collects through Tuxidea AI, how we use it, and the choices you have. It's part of, and should be read alongside, our Terms of Service. It also explains how we handle information that websites built with Tuxidea AI collect from their own visitors (see Section 3).

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), and organization details you provide.
  • Site content and change requests: the content of the websites you manage through Tuxidea AI, and the text (and any images) of the change requests and questions you submit. These are what we send to AI providers to generate results on your behalf.
  • Usage and analytics data: how you use the Service (pages viewed, actions taken), and, for sites with the Analytics add-on enabled, visitor analytics for those sites (see Section 3).
  • Payment information: handled directly by our payment processors (Stripe and/or PayPal); we receive confirmation of payment and billing status, not your full card or bank details.
  • Support communications: anything you send us through support tickets or email.

3. Information your sites collect from their visitors

When you use features like forms, bookings, an online store, payments, Site Data, member accounts, analytics or custom email, your website collects information from its visitors, such as names, email addresses, booking and order details, messages they send, and records your site saves. Analytics also records pages viewed, browser, device, approximate country and a shortened IP address (with its last part removed, so it no longer identifies a single connection).

For this information, you decide what your site collects and why, and we process it on your behalf to run those features. In data-protection terms, you are the controller and we are the processor. We use it only to provide the Service to you. We don't sell it, use it for marketing, or send it to AI providers. It's deleted when you delete it in Tuxidea AI, delete the site, or delete your account.

If you visited a website built with Tuxidea AI and want to see, correct or delete information you gave it, please contact that website's owner; we'll help them respond.

4. How we use this information

  • To provide and operate the Service, including generating the AI-assisted changes you request;
  • To process payments and manage your subscription or credit balance;
  • To send you service-related communications (account, billing, security notices). These aren't optional, as they're necessary to operate your account;
  • To send you product updates or marketing communications, but only if you've separately opted in. You can withdraw this consent at any time from your profile or via the unsubscribe link in any such email;
  • To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Service;
  • To comply with legal obligations.

5. Who we share information with

We share information with third-party service providers only as needed to operate the Service, including:

  • Payment processors (Stripe, PayPal) to process payments;
  • GitHub, which hosts the source-controlled code of your site;
  • AI model providers (which may include Google, Anthropic, OpenAI, and Devin/Cognition, depending on which model is used for a given request) to generate the changes and answers you request. Relevant site content and request text is sent to these providers for this purpose;
  • Email delivery providers to send account and, if you've opted in, marketing email;
  • Your site's own mail provider, when your site sends email through Custom Email.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, accounting, or dispute-resolution requirements. You can request deletion of your account and associated data (see Section 7) at any time. Information your sites collect from their visitors is kept until you delete it, the site, or your account.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update your account information directly from your profile, and delete your account and its data from your account settings. For anything else, contact us using the details in Section 10.

8. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and, if you use the Service's theme preference, a small local-storage value to remember it. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.

9. Children

The Service isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16.

10. Changes to this policy, and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time; if we make a material change, we'll ask you to accept the updated version the next time you sign in, the same way as an updated Terms of Service. Questions about this policy can be sent through the support options available in your account.
